Welcome to Thinky Things!

No matter how many times you read the Bible, there is always something new and challenging to find – something to make you think, and hopefully, to act on what you learn. It is a real honour to be able to share some of the new and challenging things I find in the Bible with you through Thinky Things.

Over time this ministry has grown from the personal meditations of a young man (me) trying to get back to God, to now, where we have books, weekly emails, Facebook pages, Thinky Things, Family Matters, Short Stories and Marriage Moments.

My aim is to encourage you toward God’s kingdom and to help you grow closer to Him as you become more like Him. So please, make the most of the resources we can share with you, and allow me the privilege of being able to make a difference to your walk with God. As well as Thinky Things, my wife, Sharon, and I, have a heart for marriage and family. In Marriage Moments and our book, That We May Be One, we want to share some of the things that have made a difference to us and have helped our marriage grow stronger. On Family Matters we talk to people who are walking the real family life with us complete with its trials and triumphs. And there are many practical ideas to help you grow great families and marriages.

In the end it’s all about love – love for God, love for each other, and love for our husband, wife and family. God is love, and when we love, we begin to show the character of God in our lives. I hope Thinky Things and the other resources here help point you in the right direction toward showing the love of God in every area of your life.

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.
