As we celebrate 25 years of Thinky Things, I am pleased to say that the long-awaited Thinky Things 3 books are now available!.I am so looking forward to being able to share them with you! See below for more information.

Exodus 23
EXPAND THE BOUNDARIES

This is the description of the land God promised to give Israel. “And I will set your border from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates, for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.” (Exodus 23 v 31 ESV). This area would include parts of Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the Palestinians, Turkey and Lebanon. It’s quite a big area.

During the reigns of David and Solomon, the land size of Israel expanded to the biggest it ever became. But by no means did Israel have the combined faith to inherit all that God promised.

I wonder what plans he has for us as we journey toward his kingdom? Are there areas of our lives which could be opened up to become greatly fruitful for God if we placed a little bit more faith and trust in doing what God tells us to do? Would he expand our circle of influence if we trusted and obeyed him a little bit more?

Let’s not be limited by what we can see, but instead step out in faith and see how much God will enlarge our boundaries. It won’t always be easy, but it will be worth it.

May God fill us with faith and confidence in him this week.
