As we celebrate 25 years of Thinky Things, I am pleased to say that the long-awaited Thinky Things 3 books are now available! I am so looking forward to being able to share them with you! See below for more information.

Psalm 115
ALL GLORY TO GOD

“Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!” (Psalm 115 v 1 ESV).

These words are easy to read, to understand and to agree with on an intellectual level, but if we were really pushed, would we be happy to give up our glory so God could have it?

Speaking for myself, I thrive on compliments and praise for the work I do – it’s probably one of the ways I receive love. But what if everyone praised God and ignored me? Would I still be as motivated to do my best? What about you?

Let’s work on our attitude of humility while growing and appreciation of the greatness of God. When we have done that, we will be able to develop the same attitude as the Psalmist: “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory.”

May we give glory to God this weekend.
